Thursday, March 29th at 9:00am Sheraton Anchorage Hotel & Spa
The Alaska State Spelling Bee will be taking place at 9am on Thursday, March 29th at the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel & Spa in downtown Anchorage. With more schools this year than any other year, over 180 students from all over the state will be competing at this year’s State Bee. Students competing are all between 3rd and 8th grade, with a mix of public schools, private schools, charter schools and home schools. From Nome to the Aleutians to the Panhandle, spelling bee champions from schools all over Alaska come together to vie for the title of Alaska State Spelling Bee Champion. Once the winner has been established, they will then go on for their chance to compete against spellers from around the country at the 2018 Scripps National Spelling Bee.
Join us at the Sheraton on March 29th to show your support to our young Alaskan spellers!
