You've got less than a week left to vote for Alaska Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2017

Less than a week remains for the public to vote for the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame's Class of 2017.

Folks can vote for athletes and coaches, and special moments and special events.

Among the athletes nominated for the impending class are Olympic medalist shooter Corey Cogdell-Unrien, Olympic nordic skier Holly Brooks, former NFL lineman Daryn Colledge, legendary snowmachine racer John Faeo, recently retired NHL defenseman Matt Carle, Olympic medal-winning shooter Matt Emmons, former NFL player Rocky Klever and Olympic marathoner Chris Clark.

Moments nominated include Kris Thorness' gold-medal winning rowing performance in the 1984 Olympics, Hilary Lindh's silver-medal winning alpine skiing in the 1994 Olympics and Bill Spencer's 1981 Mount Marathon record, which stood for 32 years.

Events nominated include the Tour of Anchorage ski race, the Mayor's Marathon and the Alaska Run For Women.

The 2017 Class will be the Hall of Fame's 11th class. Deadline for public voting is midnight Thursday.
