Dimond, Eagle River pocket hockey shutouts

Dimond and Eagle River skated to shut outs Thursday night, with the Lynx taking a 15-0 conference win over East and Eagle River coasting to an 8-0 nonconference over Homer.

Dylan Hoey scored four of his five goals in the first period for Dimond, which led 8-0 after one period and 15-0 after two. Drake Reid added three goals and Brenden Anaruk had two in the Cook Inlet Conference game at Ben Boeke Arena.

In Homer, Tucker Lein and Brooks Christian each tallied hat tricks for Eagle River.

In earlier action this week, West rolled past Bartlett 11-1 in a CIC game and Chugiak nipped Colony 4-2 in a nonconference game.
