Holly Brooks showed her diversity and Jason Lamoreaux showed his consistency Saturday at the Tri-Flake triathlon.
Brooks, a two-time Olympic skier and two-time Mount Marathon champion, proved a capable fat-tire biker while winning the women’s race.
Lamoreaux, one of the city’s top triathletes and bikers, won the men’s race a week after winning the 43-mile Frosty Bottom bike race last weekend.
The race consisted of a 6-kilometer ski, an 8.2-mile bike and a 6-kilometer run at Kincaid Park, where the temperature was in single digits at the start.
Lamoreaux topped the field of 38 individual racers by more than three minutes. Brooks finished seventh overall and was more than nine minutes ahead of the second-place woman.
