The Alaska Aces' 2-1 overtime loss at Idaho on Friday night brought them to the one-quarter pole in the ECHL's 72-game grind, and Alaska hit the mark sitting in strong position.
The Aces are 12-4-2 through 18 games, good for 26 points. As you'll note below, on our list of how they've done historically to this point in each season, this is better than they've done in years. That's particularly true of the two previous seasons.
Alaska takes a seven-game point streak (6-0-1) into Saturday night's series finale against the Steelheads in Boise. (Also, FWIW, I love the photo of Peter Sivak that accompanies this entry — the look on his face says, yeah, scoring goals is kinda what I do, no bigee).
