19-RUN INNING LIFTS FAIRBANKS
Kris Paulino hit two grand slams ina 19-run second inning to help the Goldpanners overwhelm the Glacier Pilots 26-7 at Growden Park.
Paulino finished with nine RBIs and was one of four Goldpanners to homer. He and Tanner Pinkston each tallied four runs and four hits.
The Panners trailed 3-0 before their big inning.
Joel Beck pitched six innings for the win, allowing six runs on 10 hits.
Kevin Viers, Shaun Wood and Clayton Taylor homered for the Pilots.
CHINOOKS WIN AGAIN
The Chinooks downed Mat-Su 7-4 Saturday for their second straight victory, their eighth win of the summer.
Jonathan Popadics and Mark Lindsay rapped RBI singles in Chugiak's four-run fourth inning. Two Mat-Su errors helped the Chinooks break loose that inning.
Kyle McDorman took the win, giving up three runs on seven hits in six-plus innings.
