Bilafer, Nero garner top honors in Railbelt football conference

Colony seniors Steven Bilafer and Jordan Nero were named the football players of the year in the Railbelt Conference.

Bilafer a quarterback, was the conference's top pick on offense and Nero, a jack-of-all-trades, was the top pick on defense. Throughout the season Nero played cornerback, linebacker and strong safety for the Knights.

Coaching honors went to Lathrop head coach Rusty Hamm and Colony assistant coach Norm Bouchard.

West Valley – Brandon Joyner, wide receiver; Gideon Cole, offensive line; Jake Foshee, offensive line.
