Chugiak 2, Dimond 1

Zachary Macalino nailed a game-winning goal in the final minute of the game and the Chugiak boys soccer team defeated Dimond 2-1 Monday in a Cook Inlet Conference match at Chugiak.

The match was scoreless through the first half before Chugiak took the lead on a goal from Sean Silk through traffic from outside the box. Dimond tied the game on a free kick at the top of the box ten minutes later.

On the go-ahead goal, Dan Ogden played a ball through the defense where Macalino won the foot race to the ball for the score.

Service 2, South 1

Gunner Rogers connected with Christoph Schiller twice Monday to lift Service over South 2-1 Monday in a CIC soccer game at South.

Schiller scored once on a volley and once on a header in the second half for the Cougars.
