East defeats Colony in girls basketball

Behind Sandin Kidder's 22 points, the East girls basketball team rolled to a 61-51 victory Wednesday at Colony.

The Thunderbirds scored nine straight points down the stretch to keep the Knights in check and seal the win.

Controlling the boards, the T-birds had five players grab five rebounds each.

Alex Carlton, Chase Stephens and Amanda Smith each scored 12 points for the Knights.
