The UAA gymnastics team will host six meets at the new Alaska Airlines Center this season, according to the schedule released Thursday.

The season kicks off with the annual Green and Gold intrasquad meet Dec. 13 and the regular season begins Jan. 8 when the Seawolves host Winona State.

UAA's season ends with the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championships -- an event the Seawolves are hosting for the first time in March.

During the season, UAA will make six road trips that will take the team from Tennessee to Seattle.

The NCAA Division I West Regional championships is set for April 4 in Berkeley, California.

Last season, incoming junior Stefany Bryan became the 13th UAA gymnast to qualify for the regional meet -- she finished 16th in the all-around competition.
