The UAA women's basketball team moved up three spots to No. 2 in the USA Today Top 25 poll of Division II teams released Tuesday.

The Seawolves, 16-1 overall and 3-1 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, where they are the defending champions, entertain a pair of GNAC opponents this week at the Alaska Airlines Center. UAA plays Western Oregon (2-10, 1-3 GNAC) on Thursday and faces Concordia (Oregon) (3-9, 1-3 GNAC) on Saturday.

UAA owns a four-game winning streak and is 9-0 at home.

The Seawolves have flourished with a high-tempo game based on relentless defensive pressure. They force an average of 25.5 turnovers per game and average 85.1 points per game.

West Texas A&M University (12-0) was ranked No. 1 in the first poll of 2016, moving up one spot.
