John Hammer scored the game-winning goal with 65 seconds left in overtime Tuesday to lift Chugiak to a 2-1 Cook Inlet Conference hockey win over South at the McDonald Center.
Chugiak's Luke Momblow and South's Nick Corbin each delivered first-period goals, and the score remained knotted 1-1 at the end of regulation.
Jack Walters stopped 44 shots, including four in the extra period, to lead the Mustangs. Hannah Hogenson made 17 saves for South.
Eagle River 7, East 2
Sutton McDonald and Joshua Linn both tallied a pair of goals Tuesday to help Eagle River defeat East 7-2 in a Cook Inlet Conference hockey game at Ben Boeke Arena.
Linn added two assists and McDonald had one.
Dimond 17, Bartlett 0
Cody Dearing reeled off four of his five goals in the first period Tuesday to ignite Dimond's 17-0 thrashing of Bartlett in a Cook Inlet Conference hockey game at Ben Boeke Arena.
The Lynx led 9-0 after one period.
