A buzzer-beater by Nicole Pinckney lifted the Chugiak girls basketball team to a 40-39 win over Barrow in a nonconference game Thursday in Chugiak.
Pinckney sank a 3-pointer to finish with 11 points. She shared scoring honors with Barrow's Kuutuuq Danner, who also scored 11.
Eagle River 70, Lumen 31
Chyna Finley scored 10 of her 28 points in the third quarter to spark Eagle River's 70-31 girls basketball victory over Lumen Christi on Thursday.
The Wolves led 26-16 at the half and pulled away with a 44-point second half.
Chiemaka Lebechi led Lumen Christi with 13 points.
