Eagle River 55, South 45
The Eagle River boys basketball team registered its first win of the Cook Inlet Conference season Monday, using a balanced scoring attack to take a 55-45 Senior Night win over South.
Daniel Toribio's 11 points led the Wolves in their final home game of the season. Aaron Davis and Savion Wilson each pitched in 10 points, and Ryan Adkins and Mason Pipe each had nine.
The Wolves led at the end of every quarter and were up 26-15 at the half.
South's Tristan Diaz scored 11 points and Parker Johnson added nine.
East 87, Service 77
Nathan Fromm of Service won the battle for scoring honors but the East T-birds got the victory Monday in a high-scoring CIC boys basketball game at East High.
Fromm pumped in 31 points for the Cougars, including 10 in the fourth quarter. Teammate Dominik Norman added 18 points.
East countered with big games from Moses Miller, who scored 28 points, and Trey Huckabay, who poured in 24. Carson Washburn added another 13 points for the T-birds.
Dimond 49, Chugiak 32
Nicolas Horning pulled down 10 rebounds to go with seven points Monday to help Dimond grab a 49-32 win over Chugiak in a CIC boys game in Chugiak.
Dimond also got a lift from Kylan Osborne, who scored 14 points, and Anthony Parker, who provided six assists, six rebounds and four points.
