Emma Nelson collects four wins for Chugiak track team

Emma Nelson of Chugiak ran and jumped to four victories to dominate the second week of high school track and field competition in Anchorage.

Nelson won the high jump, triple jump, long jump and 400 meters to lead the Mustangs to a sweep of the team titles in a four-team meet Friday.

Three other Mustangs won two events apiece — Brooklyn Gould (girls 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles), Ariana Davis (girls 100 and 200 meters) and Austin Sage (boys triple jump and long jump).

The meet's only other winner of multiple events was East's Racquelle Toleafoa, who took victories in the shot put and discus.

In a four-team meet Thursday, Service's Ann Gebauer grabbed victories in the 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles and high jump.

Four others were double-winners — South's Sarah Robinson (girls 100 and 200), Service's Nathan Fromm (boys high jump and long jump), Bartlett's Thomas Sio (boys shot put and discus) and Bartlett's Isaac Larson (boys 800 and 1,600).
