Defending champion South to battle undefeated West Valley for boys soccer crown

The boys soccer state championship is set with defending champion South taking on undefeated West Valley on Saturday for the crown.

In the semifinals, South topped West 2-1 with two goals from Andrew DePaepe and West Valley shut out Kenai Central, 2-0. Jacob Luhrs and Shane Gillette scored for the Wolfpack and goalie Mekhi Omnik recorded his 14th shutout of the season.
