The West Eagles saw their string of shutouts come to an end but remained undefeated Thursday by beating Chugiak 12-7 in a Cook Inlet Conference game at Chugiak High.
West's Rebecca Syrup competed touchdown passes to Raymi Ross and Elizabeth Johnson to propel the Eagles. Ross caught four passes for 94 yards and Johnson caught two for 45.
Isabella Roberts rushed for 83 yards on six carries to help West improve to 5-0. Nena Johns had six pulls and three blocked passes and Maya Baquiran had five pulls and an interception to spark the defense.
