Delta Junction sprinter shines at Palmer Relays

Hailey Williams of Delta Junction beat several Class 4A runners on her way to three individual victories Saturday at the 23-team Palmer Relays track and field meet.

Williams, a Class 3A athlete, cruised to wins in the 100 (12.3 seconds), 200 (24.89) and 400 (59.83). She won each race handily.

The meet produced four double-winners, two of them from West Valley.

Kendall Kramer recorded wins in the 1,600 and 3,200, and Camron Herron triumphed in the 800 and 1,600.

Chugiak got a pair of victories from hurdler Brooklynn Gould to help the Mustangs to the girls team title, and East's Colton Herman won titles in the 100 and 200 to help the T-birds win the boys team title.
