Thursday night's high school hockey game at Ben Boeke Arena was a study in disparity.
Dimond, a strong program that fields varsity and junior varsity teams, clobbered Bartlett's eight-player team 8-0 in a Cook Inlet Conference game.
The Lynx dressed 19 players and got points from five of them. Teague Porter led the way with a hat trick and Dawson Thompson added two goals.
Bartlett, which has struggled to attract players in recent years, had just one player to spare. The Golden Bears got a 53-save effort from goalie Haydin Laflamme, who was especially busy in the first period when he turned back 24 of Dimond's 25 shots.
Dimond outshot Bartlett 61-6.
