Overtime goal lifts Chugiak past Service

Jarett Beckett scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lift Chugiak past Service 2-1 in a Cook Inlet Conference hockey game Tuesday at the McDonald Center.

Wyatt Young assisted on the goal.

Chugiak took a 1-0 lead in the first period on Riley Lindberg's goal. Jake Hayes tied it for Service in the third period.

Service outshot the Mustangs 31-15. Olin Kelliher stopped 30 shots for Chugiak and Oliver Glick stopped 13 for Service.

In other CIC action Tuesday, Eagle River swamped East 13-0 behind Logan Dudinsky's hat trick at the McDonald Center.

Marshall Yeargan and Talyn Meyer each provided two goals for the Wolves, who outshot East 78-5 according to the official score sheet.
