Class 2A’s defending state basketball champs are back in the title games

Alaska’s reigning champions in Class 2A basketball are back in the title games.

The Metlakatla boys and the Tikigaq girls won semifinal games Friday night at the Alaska Airlines Center to earn a chance to defend their state tiles in Saturday’s championship round.

Metlakatla will face the Tikigaq boys at 8:30 p.m., and Tikigaq’s girls will square off against Nenana at 6:30 p.m.
