Eagle River’s Kendric Siders, East’s Lauren Riske earn top awards in Anchorage high school bowling

Kendric Siders of Eagle River and Lauren Riske of East capped strong seasons by collecting Bowler or the Year honors in the Anchorage Scholastic Bowling League.

Siders rolled the season’s best scores for both a single game (296) and a two-game series (547) to lead an Eagle River boys team that topped the final standings.

Riske set a state record for the best single-game by a girl (289) while helping the East girls finish second in the final standings behind Dimond. Leading the Dimond girls was Maia Struble, who joined Riske in the state record-book by rolling a two-game high series of 476.
