Service High, West High and Eagle River High School will host first-round games for four different tournaments — Division I boys, Division I girls, Division II boys and Division II girls.

Sixteen games are on Thursday’s schedule, with the first set to start at 9 a.m. and the last at 7 p.m.

The Division II girls teams will see the full range of extremes Thursday — two games at 9 a.m.; two games at 7 p.m. And, they’ll be all over the place — two games are at Service, one at West, one at Eagle River.

Teams from the Valley, the Kenai Peninsula, Fairbanks and Juneau will join 11 teams from Anchorage.

In Division I, the Colony boys and the Dimond girls return as the defending state champions, one year removed — last year’s championships were canceled because of COVID-19. in Division II, the Kenai Central boys and the Juneau-Douglas girls are back to defend 2019 titles.
