ECHL All-Stars defeat Adirondack Thunder 8-7

The ECHL All-Stars defeated the Adirondack Thunder 8-7 on Wednesday in the CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic.

The All-Stars led 6-3 early in the second half and held off Adirondack late.

Anchorage's Tanner Sorenson of the Kalamazoo Wings and Aces winger Peter Sivak played in the game, but neither provided a point. They each attempted one shot.

Sivak participated in the "hardest shot" contest at halftime, smashing a best of 91 mph — coincidentally the same number as his jersey.

With two goals and two assists, Matt Garbowsky of the Colorado Eagles was named the game's Most Valuable Player.

Sivak is second in the ECHL in points with 30-22—52 totals through 36 games. Sorenson holds 10-10—20 totals in 38 games.
