Daniel Bausch and Sarah Freistone breezed to the men's and women's victories, respectively, in Sunday's second annual Erik Peterson Memorial 5K run, a benefit for the Alaska Avalanche Information Center.
Bausch clocked 16 minutes, 44 seconds for 3.1 miles at the Dome. Freistone finished in 21:45.
The race drew 45 finishers.
The race is held in memory of Erik Peterson, the former West High assistant football coach and Dimond High track coach who died in an avalanche while backcountry skiing near Delta Junction in 2014.
