2 APU skiers collect World Cup points in final race before World Championships

Anchorage skiers Sadie Bjornsen and Rosie Brennan led the U.S. Ski Team in a 10-kilometer classic race Sunday in Otepaa, Estonia, the final World Cup cross-country ski race before the World Championships.

Bjornsen placed 19th and Brennan was 24th in a race won by Norway's Marit Bjoergen.

Kikkan Randall and Chelsea Holmes, who train with Bjornsen and Brennan in the Alaska Pacific University nordic program, placed 34th and 50th, respectively.

APU's Erik Bjornsen, Sadie's brother, was the top American in the men's 15K, finishing 36th. Martin Johnsrud Sundby of Norway was the winner.

The Bjornsens, Brennan, Randall and Holmes are all part of the U.S. team that will compete in the World Championships, which begin Thursday in Lahti, Finland. Randall is a two-time World Championship medalist.
