Junior Madeleine Arbuckle tallied 37.925 points in her first career all-around performance to pace the UAA gymnastics team Saturday at the Maryland Quad meet in College Park, Maryland.
Arbuckle, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, scored a 9.4 or better in all four events.
The Seawolves finished with a 188.175 total to trail 18th-ranked Minnesota (194.900), Arizona (193.225) and host Maryland (192.350) in the team competition.
Junior Morgan Ross scored a 37.775 in the all-around despite a fall on bars. She scored a team-high 9.7 on vault and had UAA's second-best scores on beam (9.675) and floor (9.6).
Fellow junior Kallie Randolph earned a 9.65 to help UAA to its best team score of the day on floor exercise at 47.450.
The Seawolves return home next week for meets Friday and Monday, Jan. 23, against Wisconsin-Stout. Both meets begin at 7 p.m. at the Alaska Airlines Center.
