UAA men’s basketball All-American Suki Wiggs is headed to Belarus

Former UAA men's basketball All-American point guard Suki Wiggs is going pro. He signed a deal this week with Tsmoki-Minsk of the Belarusian Premier League, according to a report on eurobasket.com.

"Words can't express how hard I've worked to get here," Wiggs said on his Facebook page. "And if you truly know me … you understand how much harder I still have to work."

As a senior, Wiggs was named First Team All-West Region and All-Conference after leading the Seawolves in scoring (24.4 points per game), minutes (34.3 per game), and free throws made (183). He led the team to a 21-8 record and runner-up finish in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

A 6-foot-4 transfer from Idaho who spent two seasons with the Seawolves, Wiggs posted a school-record 46 points in a 98-92 win against Central Washington on Dec. 1.

He's the second member of last season's team to go pro. Spencer Svejcar signed with a team from the Czech Republic in June.
