A career performance in his first full game since suffering a concussion earned UAA guard D.J. Ursery conference accolades Wednesday.

Ursery, 6-foot-4, 190-pound senior for the men's basketball team, was named the men's player of the week by the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

He posted career-highs of 22 points and 12 rebounds in UAA's 59-55 road victory over Concordia-Portland on Tuesday, his first full game since suffering a concussion on Dec. 5.

Ursery shot 10 of 12 from the floor and handed out a couple of key assists in the waning moments against Concordia. He also defended Cavaliers guard Jarrett Gray, holding the GNAC's second-leading scorer to two points on 0-of-8 shooting.

The win moved UAA to 3-1 in the GNAC and 7-5 overall heading into the holiday break. The Seawolves return to action at the Alaska Airlines Center on Jan. 4 against Saint Martin's.
