UAA-UAF volleyball matches postponed due to COVID-19

The UAA volleyball team will have to wait a little longer before it can end a long layoff from competition.

The Seawolves’ two-match series against UAF, set for Friday and Saturday in Fairbanks, has been postponed “due to a coronavirus protocol,” UAA announced Wednesday afternoon.

The matches have been rescheduled for April 16-17. No other information about the postponement was available.

The matches would have been the first in 15 months for the Seawolves, whose last match came at the NCAA Division II West Region playoffs in December 2019.

The team’s full spring schedule has yet to be announced, but it included four matches against UAF — the now-rescheduled games in Fairbanks, and a pair of March 26-27 matches in Anchorage.
