UAA volleyball team adds a productive outside hitter

An outside hitter coming off an outstanding junior college career will join the UAA volleyball team next season.

Lisa Jaunet is a 5-foot-10 hitter who totaled 301 kills in 45 career matches at State College of Florida. She was a second-team all-Suncoast Conference pick this season, when she averaged 2.71 kills, 2.01 digs and .40 blocks per set.

She comes to UAA with three seasons of eligibility — as is the case for NCAA athletes this school year, junior college athletes receive an eligibility waiver for the 2020-21 school year becase of COVID-19.

Januet, who is from Saint-Denis, France, is coach Chris Green’s second addition for the 2021-22 season. She joins Leilani Elder, a 6-0 middle blocker from Kansas City, Missouri, who will be a true freshman.
