Video: Pet Arctic fox laughs out loud

Archer the Arctic fox giggles every time he hears someone laughing and his laugh is infectious. Kristina Shafer has cared for Archer every since she adopted him from a breeder in Indiana when he was a cub four years ago, as reported by ABC News. "He's a very vocal, very loving, very happy fox," she said. "He also does some happy 'screams' and he honestly sounds like a monkey sometimes. He also does a howl whenever he's out in the yard and wants attention or wants to come inside."

In the past week since the video went live, Shafer has gotten many critical comments about Archer. Shafer tried to clear up any misunderstandings about Archer's care on her Facebook page. "When Archer is happy he does happy screams like this one even when he is sleepy. Foxes make many different sounds to communicate. He is a domesticated fox, he very much depends on human interaction and he is very happy in his home. He isn't inside full time, as it is necessary for them to have a space outside. He does NOT wear a shock collar, he wears a blue dog tag. He is very loved."
