Willow man killed in Meadow Lakes motorcycle crash

A Willow man died Saturday when he was thrown from his motorcycle near Wasilla, the Alaska State Troopers said.

Troopers were called to a single-vehicle collision near the intersection of Beverly Lakes Road and North Fine Road in the Meadow Lakes area just before midnight on Saturday, according to an online dispatch posted Sunday.

"Donovan Hoppe, age 55, of Willow, was thrown from his 1995 Honda motorcycle after he entered a curve and lost control," the dispatch said.

Hoppe died at the scene.

His next of kin has been notified.
