Alaska drops high-scoring contest to Victoria

In an ECHL game replete with remarkable momentum shifts Sunday night, the Victoria Salmon Kings generated the final push to earn a 7-5 victory at Sullivan Arena.

The West Division-leading Salmon Kings jumped out to leads of 3-0 and 4-1, only to have the Aces counter with four second-period goals for a 5-4 lead at the second intermission.

But the Salmon Kings rallied for three goals in the third period, two from defenseman Matt Kelly on the power play and another by Ash Goldie to complete his hat trick.

Victoria won two of the three games in the series and have accumulated eight standings points in six games against Alaska. The Aces have earned six points in those six games.
