Kindergartner is a winner

Carter Schroeder, a kindergartener from Anchorage, has won the National Endangered Species Day Art contest for his artwork of a polar bear and beluga whale.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Endangered Species Coalition, Association of Zoos and Aquariums and Ogden Museum of Southern Art/University of New Orleans organized the 2010 national Endangered Species Day art contest.

As grand prize winner, Carter will be honored at the Association of Zoos and Aquariums' Congressional Reception in Washington, D,C., on May, 4.
