SKIING -- Months before it rolls down the tracks, the Ski Train to Curry has sold out.
The last $100 ticket for the March 19 trip was sold Monday. The ski train is coming off a one-year hiatus prompted by severe cutbacks and layoffs at the Alaska Railroad.
The Nordic Ski Association of Anchorage is keeping a waiting list.
Southcentral ski trains date to the 1940s. This year there will be 14 passenger cars, accommodating 670 skiers.
