Plane lands in ditch along Old Glenn Highway

The Federal Aviation Administration says a single-engine plane made an emergency landing in a ditch alongside the Old Glenn Highway on Sunday.

The experimental plane, registered to Craig Walls of Wasilla, came to rest just south of the Rural Discount Center, located at 18915 Old Glenn Highway in Chugiak.

No injuries were reported.

The pilot was the only person onboard, according to the FAA.

An FAA investigation into why the plane was forced to land on the side of the road continues.
