PDC Makes Bold Move‐ Sells to Employees
Anchorage and Fairbanks, AK – October 31, 2012 – In a surprise announcement to its employees, Ron Gebhart – PDC's Board of Directors Chair, informed staff that the existing owners of the firm have sold the company to them. As an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), the program transfers ownership to each and every qualifying employee at PDC.
A full service engineering, planning, and survey firm, PDC has built its reputation by providing value‐-added client service and superior cold region design. Gebhart stated "The establishment of the ESOP encourages employees to strengthen this reputation by rewarding them with the benefits of ownership that come from a successful business, regardless of their position in the company. "
Gebhart continued that "PDC's leadership recognized that the best place to put the future of the company is in the hands of the employees that have made us successful."
The ESOP does not change PDC's current management, client services, operations or business strategy.
