The Whipsaws' front man and local cellist collaborate as Evan & Molly

Evan Phillips has had a busy year, releasing a solo record, playing CD release shows with The Whipsaws, producing records for several local artists, booking shows for Monolith Agency and successfully Kickstarting a new Easton Stagger Phillips record -- his collaboration with songwriters Tim Easton and Leeroy Stagger.

But before that record comes out, Phillips has teamed with cellist, mandolin player and songwriter Molly McDermott for an unexpected album. McDermott has toured with the Kirtan Choir and June Madrona, and on the simply titled "Evan & Molly," the pair offer a seven-song set of delicate and airy folk. The album is available on the Evan & Molly Bandcamp page, and you can stream it in its entirety below.
