The views of the fan seating at the Great Alaska Shootout UAA basketball game in Saturday's sports section are a good indicator of the health of this long-time tournament. Without participation by "name recognizable" teams this tournament is gasping to survive.
It is clearly illustrated by the low fan turnout. All things have a finite life span — can anything turn around the apparent inevitable demise of the Shootout?
