Anchorage Mechanical Engineer Nominated as ASHRAE New Face of Engineering
ATLANTA – Colin P. Fay is one of the 20 nominees received by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers for the New Faces of Engineering recognition program.
The program, part of National Engineers Week (NEW) and co-sponsored by ASHRAE, promotes the accomplishments of young engineers by highlighting their engineering contributions and the resulting impact on public welfare. The program targets those age 30 and younger. The top nominee from each engineering society represented on the NEW committee will appear in a full-page ad in USA Today during National Engineers Week, Feb. 17-23, 2013.
ASHRAE created the New Faces program in 2003, when it served as lead society for National Engineers Week.
Fay is a mechanical engineer and sustainability specialist, PDC Inc. Engineers, Anchorage, Alaska.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Michigan (Houghton) Technological University.
In only three years, Fay has been instrumental in the design and construction of two recent cutting edge facilities that are currently under construction; the 101,115 square foot Life Sciences Laboratory Building for the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the 31,185 square foot Tazlina Regional Clinic.
