Sen. Rand Paul stepped up to the plate and began a true filibuster in an effort to get basic questions answered by the president about our national drone program. This filibuster had bipartisian support to get these perfectly simple, perfectly reasonable questions answered.
I called my (our) senators to find out if they were on the floor in support of Rand Paul and neither was on the floor or scheduled to go to the floor. I would ask anyone reading this to contact Sens. Murkowski and Begich and ask why they were not present.
