Light quake felt in Anchorage, around Southcentral

A light earthquake struck beneath the Susitna Valley on Sunday and was felt in Anchorage and elsewhere in Southcentral Alaska.

The USGS and Alaska Earthquake Information Center reported the quake, which struck at 1:05 p.m., had a preliminary magnitude of 4.0. It was occurred at a depth of 33 miles and was centered 32 miles northwest of Anchorage and 18 miles west of Big Lake.
