After 43 years in Alaska, it is pretty hard to be amazed at the antics of our Legislature, but SB21 and it's House equivalent have finally hit a new low. It's official: I'm amazed.
After years on the market, our elected representatives can finally hang the "SOLD" sign out. This is not about liberals, conservatives, Republicans, or Democrats. This is about the wholesale avarice of a special interest that has methodically stripped the public interest of its rights, assets and representative government.
I've never been ashamed to be an Alaskan, but those voting in support of this legislation, and those supporting them should be.
