Public invited to hear about Curiosity's Mars discoveries

John P. Grotzinger, project scientist for the NASA Mars Science Laboratory rover Curiosity mission, will give a public lecture at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

He will share some of the latest discoveries from the exploratory vehicle, which landed on Mars in August last year and is still rolling across the Red Planet's landscape, taking photos and conducting tests.

The public is invited and admission is free.
