I would like to thank Sen. Mark Begich for his votes on riders to proposed carbon tax legislation.
An upstream carbon fee (or carbon tax) is a good way to fight climate change. Sen. Begich voted for a rider that would make sure all revenue is returned to households; individuals won't be the losers. He also voted against a rider that would have killed carbon fee legislation completely.
Sen. Begich is showing that he can see the importance of the problem, and is doing something about it — to protect Alaskans as well as others.
