Northrim Bank Hires New Staff and Promotes Others

Northrim Bank President and CEO Joe Beedle announced Will Baynard and Katie Bender have been hired, while Veronica Pillans and Reynold Udarbe were recently promoted.

Will recently accepted the position of Commercial Lender. His focus will be on commercial and industrial loans, primarily working with ANCSA corporations. Previously he was in-house counsel for Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union. Will has a law degree from Case Western Reserve University and a Masters in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University. Will serves regularly as a volunteer attorney for the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault and has committed to pro bono work in the state.

Katie recently accepted the position of Community and Public Relations Officer. A graduate of West High, she was raised in Anchorage and has and a Masters of Public Administration from UAA. She also earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science from the University of Portland. She brings 9 years of experience in communications, marketing and fundraising, most recently for the American Red Cross of Alaska. In addition to managing the bank's contributions and community relations activities, she will also serve as the media contact and oversee general publicity, including social media and reputation monitoring.

Veronica has been promoted to the Consumer and Small Business Lender at the Small Business Center. She has been with the bank as a Loan Administrative Assistant since August 2012. Veronica has eight years of banking experience to include seven years with First National Bank as a Personal Banker as well as an Administrative Assistant in both the Legal and Home Loan Center.

Reynold has been promoted to Branch Manager at our Huffman Branch. Reynold has been the Assistant Manager at Huffman since he started with the bank almost two years ago. He brings with him, seven years of financial institution experience most recently as a Client Service Manager with Key Bank. Reynold has a Master's Degree in Organizational Management and has his Life and Health Insurance License. He brings both practical work experience and education to the position and we are so excited to have him on our team.
