Letter: Pedestrians, take care

I don't drive drunk, nor do I even drink; however, it can be most difficult to see and avoid pedestrians walking on the sides of the roads. Pedestrians are often dressed in dark colors with no reflective tape or flashlight to warn vehicles of their presence.

Pedestrians are to walk facing the traffic — "the left is always right" — and in single file. With the soft snow condition, it can be difficult to find safe paths or footing for walking. Drivers need to make sure headlights are always cleaned off — and that both headlights are working. It is imperative that we all work together for the preservation of life.
