At least one family displaced in duplex fire

At least one family was displaced in a duplex fire in the Tudor area Saturday morning, fire officials said.

Firefighters were called at 8:02 a.m. about a fire that had spread to about 20 percent of a duplex on the 4800 block of Barrington Loop, an Anchorage Fire Department dispatcher said.

No injuries were reported, and the fire was brought under control by 8:20 a.m., the dispatcher said.

Both sides of the duplex were affected and the Red Cross was called to find shelter for a family of three, the dispatcher said. It was not immediately clear if the residents of the other duplex unit were also displaced.
