Bartlett, Soldotna remain No. 1 in prep football polls

Unbeaten Bartlett, fresh off a 31-24 Cook Inlet Conference victory Saturday, remained No. 1 among large schools in the Alaska Sports Broadcasting Network prep football poll released Monday.

Meanwhile, Soldotna (3-0), which was idle last weekend, continued its season-long grip at No. 1 among medium and small schools.

Bartlett (4-0) on Friday plays at Dimond (2-2), which was previously ranked No. 4 but fell out of the poll after getting throttled 41-7 at Chugiak on Friday.

Colony (4-0) of the Railbelt Conference stayed at No. 2 among large schools and travels to Fairbanks to take on No. 5 Lathrop (3-1) on Friday night. South (3-1) and West (3-1), both of the CIC, are ranked Nos. 3 and 4, respectively.

In the medium-small poll, Eielson (4-0) remained No. 2 after its 52-34 victory Saturday at Nikiski (3-1), which was ranked No. 3 and slipped to No. 5.

Ketchikan (3-1) moved up two spots to No. 3 and Barrow (3-1) re-entered the poll at No. 4.
